Our Founding Story
Nest & Novels was born from a deep love for African storytelling and a desire to create a home for readers who crave authenticity, inspiration, and connection. Founded by Katherine Ile – a writer, publisher, and literary advocate—Nest & Novels began as a dream to make African books more accessible, celebrated, and central to everyday life.
What started as a quiet idea in a notebook soon grew into a vibrant bookstore and reading community. Katherine envisioned a space where readers could not only buy books but belong to something greater—a movement that honors African voices, nurtures new authors, and builds legacies through literature.
